An invested public scholar, Miller has worked with the Public Engagement Project, the Center for Research and Education on Gender and Sexuality, Future of Sex Education, and Advocates for Youth on initiatives focused on using research outside of the academy to advance adolescent health and sexuality education policy. Dr. Miller is the former director of Rape Victim Advocates’ sexual violence prevention program, which reached young adults in schools and community centers throughout Chicago. Building on her research, she also provides trainings for educators on creating just and inclusive school climates.
